Smartstream Technology was engaged to supply and support the installation of key infrastructure for a sewer upgrade at a staff housing development. The project required high-performance, durable solutions that aligned with strict environmental and operational standards.
As part of the scope, Smartstream provided:
- Type 8 Poo Pits, purpose-built for robust stormwater management in residential applications.
- Type 1 Sewer Concrete Manholes, offering structural strength and long-term durability for underground sewer systems.
This combination of durable materials ensured the project met both environmental goals and performance criteria, delivering a reliable wastewater solution built to last.

The Type 8 Poo Pit is now the most common gravity sewer product in designs.
